Nailed It – A CND Shellac Event

Dani Kremeniuk - June 18, 2012

A fresh Shellac manicure was enough to entice me from Vancouver to Whistler – the events that followed had me returning under protest. Upon our arrival at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort, Whistler, we were graciously welcomed in the Fifty Two 80 Bistro where we sipped effervescent cocktails, as trays of succulent hors d##Q##oeuvres mingled with our select group. After the formal introductions concluded we were escorted to the adjoining Sidecut Restaurant for a feast of the finest from a menu composed by Chef Edison Mays, paired with wines from a list by Sommelier David Foran. Our revelrous evening coming to a close I silently celebrated the Four Seasons bed awaiting me upstairs.

Greeted with coffee and croissant the next morning, I settled in for a CND Shellac education and to choose an exciting new design to take home with me. Flipping feverishly through the Spring/Summer 2012 CND look book, I kept getting drawn back by the shimmer of Tarnished Metal, one of the many new looks coined by the nail care revolutionaries. The artist in who I entrusted my hands also took the opportunity to add her own pièce de résistance with a touch of CND Additives, pure pigments that can be layered over Shellac to turn showstoppers into hands that will bring the house down – but not until July, so stay on the lookout as you will be glad you got there first. To ease the only concern I arrived with it was explained to me that CND Shellac could be removed in ten minutes with Shellac Remover Wraps, without damaging the natural nail. My unruly cuticles posing imminent finger faux pas, the CND Shellac team armed me with SOLAROIL (touted “manicure in a bottle”), and Scentsations Hand Lotion for my journey back to the real world…right after I stopped by the pool for an hour.
