Top 5 Fall Sweaters

Summer is officially over and a new fall season is amongst us. Whether you are celebrating the return of pumpkin spice lattes, or cringing at the thought of cold weather, you can always lift your spirits with a cozy fall sweater. This season there are many ways you can embrace the trend. From shaggy coats to classic knits there is a different style for every occasion. Don’t be afraid to stock up because these pieces can be carried through until the end of winter.

Here are some of our favourites:

1) Aritzia: Wilfred Free Lin Sweater

This sweater is somewhat of a classic. You can easily dress it up or down and it comes in a variety of neutral colours. Plus it is completely soft and itch free. The turtleneck looks super cute with tucked in hair and a few pieces hanging out. Since it has a high front and low back it is great to pair with leggings. Add a pair of leather leggings for a comfy, but dressed up effect.

2) Nastygal: Glamorous Greyed Out Sweater Tunic

This sweater dress is super warm and perfect for everyday wear. The ombre effect is a trend that will add interest to your look. Pair it with some tights and knee-high boots for a cool and coordinated outfit.

3) Free People: Following Directions Zipper Cape

Cable knit sweaters will always be a fall wardrobe staple. This one looks super elegant with glowing makeup and a wide brim fedora style hat. Layer on some dainty rings for a complete look. This sweater can easily be dressed down with a pair of sweatpants, or dressed up with skinny leg trousers and ankle boots. A denim boyfriend jacket would be a perfect match for this ensemble.

4) Revolve Clothing: Tularosa Dylan Knit Coat

This shaggy coat is more fun and playful, but can easily be styled to look super chic. Add a black or white V-neck tee and dark wash jeans to revamp your favourite basic outfit. A black slip dress and some rosy blush would also add a feminine touch to this boxy sweater.

5) Zara: Knit Square Sweater

Boxy sweaters are a huge trend this fall. If you prefer a more flattering look, but still want to try this style just add accessories such as scarves, jewellery, belts, or a long coat. This sweater is looser fitting but the vertical stitch lines add a slimming and lengthening effect.
