What are the top 3 must haves in your closet? ( I couldn’t pick just 3..)

Leather jacket, Black bustier top, Red pencil skirt, Leather leggings, Rock n Roll band t-shirts, all worn with combat boots

Also here are 3 things I never leave the house without …

Kat Von D black eyeliner, a comb to make sure my hair is always backcombed and a ton of hairspray

What’s your go-to outfit?

My black and white “Aerosplit” leggings from my Fall 2013 collection, skull printed baggy long sleeve shirt from a badass boutique in Soho NYC, paired with my TRIPP leather jacket.

What’s your go-to  store?

Definitely Fabricana or Fabricland to buy fabric, I shop there weekly! As a designer I don’t really buy clothing a lot since I can sew my own clothing but I do like Miss Guided which is a UK based online store and of course, I love The Rock Shop in Vancouver.

Who’s your favourite designer?

Alexander McQueen. There has been no one like him since and I doubt there is anyone like him to come. Sadly people don’t do what he did. He was a genius and a beautiful person with an amazing creative mind.

What was your favourite style decade? (grunge, hippy, 40’s, …)

Easy question!19 80s! A time of rock and roll music. Leather, fringe, leopard print, torn up denim, sex appeal! I definitely feel like I was born in the wrong era. I feel like I should have grown up in the 80s where people cared about rock and roll, fashion and a time when people would dress up just to buy groceries.

What does style mean to you?

The quote by Edna Woolman Chase is so perfect. “Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess. “

This is why I push people to stick to what they know and not wear clothing just because they are “in”. If you stick to what you like and feel comfortable in you can create your own style.

I personally love to push the boundaries of fashion and always try to go against the norm. I like standing out in what I wear and making a statement with my clothing (and hair)

How has your personal style changed over the years?

Honestly, it hasn’t changed much. In elementary school I dressed head to toe in camo print. In middle school I loved ripped tights and black dresses and in high school I wore a lot of fishnets, black skirts and band t-shirts. Looking back I never did wear age appropriate clothing haha. Nowadays I tend to mix all of those items in my wardrobe.

Define fashion? Or what does fashion mean to you?

Fashion = my life. I live, breathe, sleep and dream about fashion. And not in the name brand, shopaholic, trend follower way but in the way that I have made a career out of creating pieces that make myself and my clients very happy.  There is an indescribable feeling when you put on a dress that was custom made for you and I love creating that feeling for people.

How would you describe your style?

Modern rock and roll, authentic and true to who I am. I like to wear comfortable fabrics, usually black and usually I layer my pieces.

What’s your favorite accessory?

My favorite accessory is my silver ring from The Rock Shop which has two skull heads creating a heart.  I never take it off! As well as my silver anchor necklace from Blue Ruby.
