Deighton Cup : A Weekend At The Races

Story by Dominique Hanke

Thoroughbred  Thoroughbred  Thoroughbred

Last Saturday, Hastings racecourse set the scene for one of Vancouver‘s fanciest affairs, the 5th annual Deighton Cup. However, at this derby day all eyes were firmly fixed on the spectators, not the jockeys.
Vancouver‘s best dressed were out in force, donning their finest frocks and hats hoping to win big in the Style Stakes – and the competition was fierce!

Here are my top picks:

Classic : International stylist Nicolette Lang-Anderson harked back to style icon Audrey Hepburn in her vintage inspired ensemble. I love the embroidered detailing on the dress and the vintage hat makes the look!

Stylish : Editor Joshua Langston looked fabulous in his two tone topper with perfectly matching bow tie. He kept things fun by pairing his stylized statement pieces with a great pair of royal blue shorts, which won both in style and practicality.

Statement: Writer Kelsey Klassen stood out in her architecturally stylized homemade hat. Whilst fun and bold, she complimented it nicely with a simple, structured dress.
