I have always liked the idea of wearing trousers, but preferred the feminine ambience of a dress. So when I came across this beautiful pair of pink/beige pants at Oak+Fort I knew they were exactly what I needed. I love them because they are a slouchy and comfortable fit, but still look elegant and business appropriate. Plus the colour and fabric combination looks simple yet classy. I decided to base the rest of my outfit around the same colour palette. However, the metallic statement necklace and black top with heels help to break up the lighter pastel shades and make the overall outfit more wearable. I noticed that blanket scarves were everywhere on the S/S 2015 runways, so I decided to incorporate the trend into this look. The beautiful blanket scarf from Noul includes shades from my colour scheme and has an eye-catching triangle pattern. The fringe around the bottom is a fun detail which adds a casual/bohemian flare. To top off the look my makeup artist, Faye Smith, paired a dusty pink smokey eye and lip colour with a contour around my cheek bones. She used a two inch curling wand to achieve a soft wave effect in my hair. This may be my favourite look from the series I styled because it can be worn both day and night to any semi formal event.
