American Thanksgiving Outfit

Thanksgiving is approaching, which means students will be travelling back home to celebrate the holiday with their families. While feasting on yummy food and catching up with loved ones you probably want something cozy, comfortable, and non-restricting to wear. But before you spend hours in crowded shopping malls frantically looking for the perfect ensemble, consider this amazing outfit we have coordinated just for you. The traditional Thanksgiving colour scheme will keep you looking festive.

Free People has always been one of my favourite stores, so when I saw these fall inspired pieces I got way too excited. The Kimono is versatile and can also be worn as a scarf. When I first saw the headband I was nervous to try it on because I have a smaller than average sized head, but surprisingly it fit perfectly. It is made from a soft material that will stretch to fit.

This super amazing dress is by Oak + Fort. They are a Canadian company with a great selection of basics, coats, and fall wardrobe pieces. Their clothes are trendy and affordable while maintaining great quality. The visual merchandising in their store makes it super easy to put outfits together, which is why I love going in there so often.

These Stuart Weitzman boot are a bit of a splurge, but were actually the best shoe investment I ever made. I have been wearing them regularly for two years now and they still look and feel brand new. I wear them with almost everything including dresses, skirts, jeans, and any type of skinny pant. They are a classic that will never go out of style.

The photo shoot took place on a very rainy day, so we shot indoors on the balcony of the photographer’s studio. It was a blast! Our makeup artist, Faye Smith, was so friendly and fun to work with. Plus she did an incredible job with the makeup and hair.
