AF Australia Edition: Gold Coast Travel and shopping guide

As some as you may know, I have recently been traveling throughout Australia the last couple months. During my travels I have discovered and located many hidden gems along the way. Today,  I wanted to share with you all my favorite destinations around the city as well as where to stay while visiting the Gold Coast.

here is a list for you to plan a visit when traveling to Australia.

Miss Darcy Boutique

Miss Darcy has a fabulous range of Australian designers that are all trendy and very afforadable – The boutique carries handpicked ready to wear unique pieces from such designers as Talulah, Keepsake, Steele, Auguste, We Are Kindred, Stevie May, Isla and more. Check out Miss darcy, either in person at 1/41 Musgrave Ave,Chirn Park, QLD, Australia or online

Mandala Organic Arts Cafe

Mandala Organic Arts Cafe on the Gold Coast Highway in Mermaid Beach is challenging the perception that vegan food is somehow void of taste. Snack on rice paper rolls that are packed full of Asian greens, vegetables and avocado and served with sesame tamari dressing or for the more substantial hungers, there’s an extensive array of mains and share plates to choose from however no trip here would be complete without one of Mandala’s famous pizzas. Made using a wholemeal spelt base, the pizzas come in a variety of toppings including rustic pumpkin that is adorned with a Napoli base, leafy greens, cinnamon roasted pumpkin, eggplant, toasted walnuts, caramalised Spanish onion, kalamata olives, nut cheese and fresh herbs so they’re as close as you’ll ever get to guilt-free pizza! Mandala can accommodate a range of food intolerances and offer gluten-free options. They’re licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass or two of organic wine with your meal.

About a Girl

Surprisingly, Nobbys’ About A Girl isn’t as hippie and free-spirited as you might have thought. Located in the heart of this surf-frenzied suburb and its restaurants and cafés, About A Girl is the perfect way to end an afternoon on the beach, by strolling through this friendly and relaxed fashion boutique. Its quirky taste, with a twist of chilled-out surfer-style pieces from brands like Mink Pink, One Teaspoon, All About Eve, and Jorge, this fashion boutique is perfect for a girl who knows how to rock her swagger, without needing to show it all off. It’s the Gold Coast interpretation of the French’s “effortlessly chic”; casual and unique style wear that suits you to a T.
